Words to fear when buying a house

What they mean is that they will prepare a mortgage valuation and will probably be in the house for approximately 20 minutes. If you are lucky, the valuer will point out obvious defects. If you want to be safe, you should commission your own surveyor to carry out a Home Condition Survey.

Why?

Because one of our surveyors will spend between 2 to 3 hours checking out the property before preparing an easily readable report which has “Traffic lights”

Green – Good

Amber – Needs attention

Red – Serious defect.

This means that the report is easy to read and understand.
